This page introduces two of my favorite characters, and also there is a bit of setting here that I'm sure you'll all just be crazy to understand.
The guy talking on the steam-telephone on the surface is Paddington Cogs. In the game he was my first character, and so what you are seeing here is me engaging in the time-honored tradition of making comics about your RP characters! You're so lucky to be reading this!
Anyway, he's a watchmaker, and his weapon of choice is a razor-sharp minute hand and hour hand. He fights mostly using stances based on different times of day, and he never practices. Instead, he just watches clockwork tick, studying its motions intently. Paddington carries himself like a sort of a lighthearted fop, but his carefree nature comes only with his complete confidence in his professionalism, both at work, and in battle.
The guy in the office is Colin Aldridge, mayor of one of post-apocalyptic-London's many raised cities. Most of the cities are flying cities which use steam power and magnetics a-la Laputa. Also Cavorite might fit in there in some way, as well as the collective will of the steam mages, whose powers are pretty incredible. This particular city, New Whitechapel, is not a flying city, but is built on a lot of steel legs that hold it up.
The reason that people live in flying cities is that the mutants on the streets are not a problem up there.
New Whitechapel is a small city, and it's mostly used for grain storage, but that doesn't stop Aldridge from being very ambitious. Fighting men and agents are often deployed to New Whitechapel to defend it against the threat of mutants climbing up into town. Aldridge usually ignores the pressing threat, though, and sends them out on adventures, hoping that they will do impressive things, and make him look like a great leader so he can get elected at a better city.
He's really bad at looking professional, though, which really hurts things.
