Jack London was Horse Man's favorite author when he was in school.

OK, so the latest news is that Unwinder has made a guest appearance on a blog! Take a look over here to see your favorite cyan kid who may or may not be an alien talk about Achewood and stuff. The Unwinder lines are real, and were written by me, but the artwork and stuff aren't my doing, so I can't take credit for that.

Also, another review of Tall Comics has come in from another blog, and I think it's worth linking. I don't toss around words like "glowing" very often, so I won't use them here. But I will say that it is a pretty positive review, which is exactly the sort of thing I'm always linking around here if I can get my hands on it.

ALSO, there is no reason at all for me to mention this other than namedropping, but I'd like to personally welcome BESTSELLING AUTHOR LEIF ENGER to the Unwinder's Tall Comics readership. DUDE WROTE A BESTSELLER AND THEN READ MY COMIC, NOT EVEN KIDDING, HE IS EVEN GIVING ME A FREE AUTOGRAPHED BOOK. I GUESS YOU ALL BETTER START TAKING ME SERIOUSLY HERE.

Actually I've been friends with his son for a while now, and I think his son has been telling him to read this comic for months now and he just finally got around to it and reportedly liked it.

Anyhow, Leif Enger is one of my favorite living authors. His best-known work, Peace Like a River, is straight up LITERATURE. If you like the way old books use language, as I do, then it would probably be worth your time to read. I am eagerly anticipating reading his other book, and I'm sorry for trying to leech off of his success here, but what can I say? Boys will be boys.
